In 1969, Skyland Grange began as Xue Xun Livestock Farm.

It all started on a piece of land once used as a tea plantation.

The first generation cleared the land, built chicken houses, and raised poultry from the ground up. Through decades of challenges and changes in the agricultural industry, they remained committed to honesty, responsibility, and the highest standards of poultry farming, laying the foundation for what we are today.

More than half a century later, we recognize that our journey has been sustained not only by human dedication and hard work, but also by God’s unwavering protection and grace.

Every challenge overcome and every new beginning has strengthened our family and given us the faith and determination to carry this legacy forward.

Bringing the Philosophy of Hospitality Management Back to the Farm

David Lu, the third-generation successor of Origin Chicken, studied in New Zealand and Australia, where he also gained professional experience in the Australian hospitality industry.

Upon returning to Taiwan, he brought his background in economics and hotel management into the farming business, exploring new possibilities for traditional agriculture — from poultry farming and production to foodservice supply.

Drawing on the hospitality industry's emphasis on quality management, attention to detail, and guest experience, David introduced a new perspective to the farm.

For Origin Chicken, it is no longer just about raising chickens well, but also about ensuring that every ingredient is carefully selected, handled, and delivered with care — from our farm to the kitchens of restaurants and the tables of families.

“Origin” represents a return to our roots — and reflects our original vision of poultry farming.
